| Early
this summer, my husband moved to Antwerp, Belgium for a short term
assignment to improve DuPont's European Supply Chain
performance. He's far away, but fortunately it is only for a
few more months. During the first half of the summer, I was
also in Antwerp and we had the opportunity to make weekend trips to Brugge,
London, and Amsterdam.
This web page is about my
trips to Brugge and London, and contains some background information
on myself. |

About Me
I graduated from Texas State Technical College (now South Texas
College) in 1995 with a degree in Chemical Technology. Shortly
after graduating, I started working for Shell in Houston. I
met my future husband in late 1995 while he was attending Texas
A&M University studying Chemical Engineering. We dated for
18 months then married about one month after he graduated.
We have been married and lived in Orange, Texas for the last
eight years. Soon after we married, I started two quilting
businesses - one that made quilts out of bridal gowns and another
that made T-shirt quilts. After running these businesses for
over six years, I decided that dealing with customers was too much
of a pain and decided to go back to school to finish a Bachelor's
degree in Chemistry. |
| Last Fall, I
enrolled as a full time student at Lamar University in Beaumont,
Texas. The transition back to being a student was rough - I
hadn't had to do critical thinking in about ten years, so it took a
little while to get back in the swing of things. In the Fall
and Spring semesters, I knocked out 29 credit hours towards my
degree, and I am in the process of getting 49 credit hours this
summer (25 hours from classes, 24 hours from testing out). I
plan to graduate in May or August 2006 and want to work in pharmaceutical
sales.
Well, enough about me, let's get on to my experiences in Europe
this summer. You can see the pictures I took in Brugge and/or
London by clicking on the links on the bar to the left. |
